Refund Policy
This Refund Policy applies to purchases made on get.art, operated by it.com Domains LTD. It forms part of our Terms of Service.
1. New domain registrations — 4-day money-back
We offer a 4 calendar-day grace period after a new domain registration, during which you may request a full refund of that registration.
2. Renewals, transfers & services — non-refundable
Domain renewals, transfers, redemptions and other services are non-refundable. After the 4-day grace period, a new domain registration is also non-refundable, because the registry fee is then incurred and cannot be reversed.
Under the .ART Registry Policies, the registry's own liability is limited, at its discretion, to re-supplying the domain or refunding the monies paid to the registry, and the registry has no general obligation to refund.
3. Other exceptions
Outside the 4-day grace period, we may still issue a refund where:
- a charge was made in error or duplicated;
- the registration could not be completed by the registry and the fee was not incurred; or
- a refund is required by applicable consumer-protection law.
Where a statutory right of withdrawal applies, note that domain registration is a service that begins immediately on your request; by ordering you acknowledge that the service starts at once and, once the domain is registered, the right of withdrawal no longer applies beyond the grace period above.
4. How to request a refund
To request a refund, contact [email protected]. For security, requests are accepted only from the domain's registered email address — the email associated with the domain's account. For example, if you registered domainname.art with [email protected], the request must be sent from [email protected]; a request from any other address cannot be processed and support will ask you to resend it from the registered email.
Once approved, a refund is processed within 3 business days of being issued by our support team and is returned to the original payment method; if it takes longer, contact [email protected].
5. Chargebacks
Please contact us before initiating a chargeback so we can resolve the issue. Abusive chargebacks may lead to suspension of the account and associated domains in line with registry and ICANN policies.
